Move it Monday.

- A   six pounds.

The following things are what I'm going to be doing as I get back into a routine this upcoming school year. I did well for most of the summer and then I went to Love Affair and ate wayyyy too many good tasting, high calorie, high fat foods and gained SIX pounds in one week!! How does a person do that? I thought at first that it was just a symptom of traveling, etc. But I'm still 6 pounds heavier than the day I left for Love Affair. Geez!

So   So I'm posting the following for myself and for anyone else who may have fallen out of routine or off the wagon or whatever you want to call it. Here's to second chances and new beginnings! :)

*Accept that you’ve made a mistake. Once you own it, you can redirect yourself and put it behind you

*Remind yourself that the old behavior you are indulging in can’t give you the new results you desire. Remember your personal reasons for working on change

*Do something pro-active that will create more positive thoughts and feelings and enable you to get back on track

*Learn from the experience. Ask yourself what this episode can teach you about your vulnerabilities as well as your personal strengths, resources, and potential for success.

new. LIFE.

shoot! it happens to all of us at some point. ;) Anyway, you're right about forgetting it and moving on. I set a goal to do 2 triathlons next summer. So now I'm feeling motivated to train... and I'm recruiting other people to do it with me. :)

Just got home from a cruise - 5 lbs gained so back on the bike now. Looking forward but enjoying the fun memories although yummy shaved ice with ice cream, condensed milk and sweet beans do quickly add calories.

Bedtime midnight. Up at 7:30. 7 1/2 hours. I'm reading book three of the Twilight series! They're not very deep but they are hard to put down. Good for the brain sometimes. :)

Walked a 1/2 hour this morning and felt great.

With weight loss, I've found small changes make a big difference. For example, having scrambled eggs with veggies rather than cereal or oatmeal. Do I do it all the time? no Can I lose more weight? yes

Am I off sugar? no :)

Tip: I was talking to someone who is really into Raw foods. They are big in the cancer prevention/fighting arena. We were talking about green smoothies where you add all sorts of greenery to smoothies, don't really taste it but get the raw nutrition of green veggies.

Bed at 12 up at 7:30. Coughing boys in the middle of the night. It reminded me of being dragged out of sleep when your baby cries from the next room.

I got a massage today. :)
I was working til midnight preparing previews.
I'm hoping when school starts I can prepare previews during the day. It's really cutting into my reading time. And time with my husband. :)

Karen, yes, cleaning is working out. I get my heart rate up when I'm scrubbing!

i've been noticing problems the last couple weeks, but i determined today it's time for new workout shoes. i always have a hard time finding good ones--at a price i'm willing to pay. i need to start looking.
