Tiffany and Sam. Wedding.
sweet. day.
Tiffany and Sam have known each other since high school. They met each other and soon were inseparable. After high school was over Sam left for a mission for two years. As soon as he got home they knew that they wanted to be married.
The day came and there was pink everywhere. Sam was so happy to see Tiffany walk down the aisle...she looked so beautiful. When the ceremony was over they had a wonderful luncheon, tossed the bouquet, smashed cake in each others' faces, and had their first dance.
Tiffany and Sam love to jump on their trampoline. They also eat on it, talk on it, sleep on it...it's a place that they love. So we found one near the reception center and jumped.

Karly and Curtis...The Warehouse Wedding
best. party. in. my. life.
This is what my kids said on the way home from this wedding. They couldn't stop talking about how it was the best party they had ever been to...and really it was a kid's dream. There were mini hamburgers, mini hotdogs, blue cotton candy, cupcakes, ice cream, lime rickeys, wedding sunrises, and so much more. There was dancing and great places to sit.
Karly's family has become very dear to me over the years. I've been lucky enough to get to be the photographer for all of their daughters' weddings. One of them just had a sweet new baby girl and another is past ready to have her little boy. I've watched another daughter's little girl just grow up so much every time I go to a family event. It's been such a gift to be part of their lives. In so many ways they are loving, giving, creative, full of energy, and happiness.
Dad to this household of women, Kevin, is so sweet to each of his girls. I love to see him dance with each of his girls at their weddings and this night was no exception. It was a tender and bittersweet moment for him.
Karly and Curtis were so happy all day. Through out the night I saw them on the dance floor together and with nieces who couldn't get enough of spinning and showing off their moves on that super cool white floor.
Not only did I get to hang out with a wonderful family I also got to work with Matt...amazingly creative, out of the box, and all around fun to bounce ideas around. He designed and coordinated everything for this wedding. All of the details, furniture, all of it (and most of it I couldn't even fit on this post to do it justice)...all Matt. He's incredibly talented. I've loved every chance I've been able to work with and see him (send me an email to get his info).
So this wedding was perfect. Perfect company. Perfectly fun day. And perfect couple. What fun.
perfect. LOVE.

Karen and Brenden

Snow and Love.
Karen and Brenden first met on the ski slopes so it seemed only right to have a fresh layer of snow fall the morning of their wedding. These two are so perfect together and so absolutely laid back; it's no wonder they have so many people that adore them. They listen to others so completely and smile so warmly I don't think there is anyone that wouldn't immediately feel important around them. I also loved that they were all about leaning away from the traditional. We (Johanna and I---more about that in a minute) met Karen while she got her hair done at the Reflections Salon. Chad did a gorgeous job on her hair and has me convinced that I need to come see him for a great hairstyle. After some fun laughs with Karen and Chad, Johanna and I headed over to Happy Sumo to where Brenden and the guys were having lunch.
Brenden wanted to get pictures of Karen meeting his sweet little nieces for the first time (especially since they wouldn't be at the dinner that night) so we met up with them at Costa Vida and went back to their condo in The Gateway to meet up with Karen. After making sure that the blue coolers made it safely into one car Karen and Brenden went to the temple to be married.
When Karen and Brenden came out of the Bountiful Temple they couldn't stop smiling and everyone was so happy for them. After freezing half to death as the sun went down we were all ready to get on over to Rodizio Grill for warmth and good food. It was so fun to see Karen and Brenden interact through out the day of running around town together. THey went with the flow no matter what. In fact, I remember Karen saying as she was getting her hair done that one day a while back she decided that she was just going to let be whatever happened. She'd done what she could and she'd just be happy with whatever turn of events things took. From that moment on she was so relaxed. She is very wise.
Karen and Brenden, thank you so much for letting Johanna and I be part of your wonderful day. We had such a great time with and were so inspired by the way you were both so relaxed and patient with the way things went through out the day. Your happy perspective made the day so perfect!
NOTE: There is something different about this wedding from all of the others that I've posted....Johanna, our new associate photographer at Davina Studios! The first 10 couples to book with Johanna get to have me as a second shooter at their wedding. Karen and Brenden were the first to book with her and she is going to book up very quickly so make sure to contact the studio for more information: davina@davinafear.com The first set of images is Johanna's and the second set are some of mine....

Nicole and Jim

Happy Wedding Day.
Nicole and Jim's day was so relaxed with all of their closest friends around them. They had their ceremony and reception in Park City. However, just getting to the resort wasn't far enough. You had to take a gondola on a 10 minute ride up to The Red Pine Lodge...which was totally fun! It was a gorgeous day with blue skies and sunshine.
Nicole and Jim knew that they would have kids at their wedding and made plans to have great buckets of fun for them. Nicole also had a clown who entertained more than just the kids! I also loved that they had their ceremony in the morning with a brunch that followed. Through out the day there were so many tender moments. It was especially sweet when Jim and Nicole committed to Andrew to be great parents to him and gave him a ring to show their dedication. I'm so glad I got to be there.
