Summer Vacation
It's finally here! Although, for me it seems like I just posted about my kids' first day of school. The girls had just started kindergarten and I couldn't believe I had a fourth grader. Now an entire year has passed, they're older, smarter, more independent than ever, and they just keep getting bigger. I'm thinking by the end of next year it's very possible that my son will be eye to eye with me. It just doesn't seem like it could possibly be true...and yet it is. No matter how often I think of the day I first held his tiny little body, with his big, black, round eyes staring into me he still keeps growing. I remember when I held my sweet little twins, I would try and just cherish every moment because I knew it would probably be the only time I would get to hold four and five pound babies for such long periods of time.
Those sweet days and weeks after a new baby is born are unlike any others. Our home seemed so like a sweet haven from everything else that was happening. My kids adored would adore that sweet baby and there was never enough time in the day to give the sweet little one (or ones in our case) all the love that we wanted to give. When my last little missie was born she couldn't be held enough and we had to use a timer so that everyone would have a chance to give all the love they wanted to give. Sweet times!
Now, things are just as sweet just so different from those precious weeks when I knew that they couldn't last long because kids can't wait to grow up. It's so exciting how things change every single day! Right before school got out Miriam finally lost her first tooth, Emmett loses a tooth about once a week, Emma is always finding new things to sing about and can often be found singing at the top of her lungs either a Martina McBride or Faith Hill song (complete with a great deal of passion and drama), Gracie is always trying to be six. She doesn't know what three year olds do but she knows that she can do anything a six year old can do. Just in the last couple of weeks we've had picnics on the driveway, new windows, a trip to the doctor for some stitches, a lost tooth, painted a room in our house, rearranged rooms, and completely made a mess of our house doing our spring declutter. Gotta love the way life just keeps moving and changing!
I LOVE: VChocolates
I love VChocolates!
They have the smoothest, best tasting, most wonderful chocolate I have ever had. I love their toffee, it's my favorite. But you really can't risk missing the yummy carmels...such hard choices. Not only are the chocolates the best ever everyone at Vchocolates is a dream to work with. Vicki is always so cheerful and kind on the phone and always goes the extra mile to make sure that my orders are sent out quickly and that everything arrives at it's freshest.
The really big plus for me is that their packaging is so incredible. They have these gorgeous boxes that let you know before you even know what's in side that you are in for a delectable treat for your tasting senses. All around the box are little reminders about the simple wonders of life with a bit of humor thrown in to make you just want to keep the box.
Vchocolates are the perfect gift for so many occassions...Mother's Day (especially Mother's Day  ), Valentine's Day, Thank You, Have a Happy Day, Congratulations, The perfect wedding favor (they have really cute tiny little boxes of chocolates), and pretty much any other occassion you can think of!

Taisja
Beautiful Bride.
We met at Memory Grove just to get started because Brady and Taisja love to go to meet each other for picnics at lunch time. We had a great time there but didn't want to miss a lot of really wonderful opportunities. At the Rio Grande we were planning to shoot inside the lobby but it was locked...thank goodness. Because the light in the bathroom was gorgeous! We laughed at how much fun the bathroom and the hallway were. We knew our last stop was Ensign Peak but we didn't know it was going to be an arduous climb and we were all cursing Taisja's name for making us hike up it (even though she was the one in the wedding dress...lol). BUT on the hike down we were praising her name for such a great idea and for being such a she-rah for hiking up there in a gown. We couldn't stop saying how worth it the hike was.
Way to have fun Taisja! I'm so glad we all got to hang out together! (you girls were all awesome!) Thanks for a VERY fun time. I loved all of the laughing....
