snow. no school.
it was a blizzard.
There was just way too much snow today to go to school and the kids were in heaven.
No your eyes do not deceive you. There really was only about .0001 inches of snow. Not even close to enough to make a snowball. No snow on the tree branches. I almost didn't get a picture of it before it was gone. Doesn't matter.
It was the best snow...ever.
In Utah we didn't get out of school for anything. Really. Ice Storm. No. Blizzard. No. Four feet of snow. No.
In South Carolina .0001 inches of snow. YES!!! The kids are very glad we live in South Carolina, now!
funny. LIFE.

Sweet!! We have those kind of snow days here in St. George too!! They are the best!
I don't know if lauren has told you or not but if we even get a report of a snowflake in lubbock, the entire town goes into panic mode and shuts down!
Welcome to the South! We don't have the equipment here in the South to take care of very much snow! So, any little bit, and yes that was a little bit, we close EVERYTHING! You'll get used to it and the kids will grow to love it more and more. You on the other hand, maybe not so much! :-)
This made me laugh. I am from Utah as well and live in North Carolina. We had the same amount of snow yesterday and I was shocked at how this place shut down. Really..there was no equipment needed for what had..so not sure if the excuse works. Haley Warners blog..got me in touch with yours. I had no Idea you were in S.C. Nice to know there are a few of us from the west..living in the south. Love your Blog. Melissa N.C.
hahaha! What fun for them! I went to college in a small town in Michigan that averaged 120 inches of snow a year. My freshman year my neighbor across the hall was from Memphis and when it snowed just before Halloween my poor friend thought she didn't have to go to class! She was disappointed. Your kids are luckier (not to mention all the teachers who get a day off!)
