So who is with me?
goodbye.
So I've been traveling so much and sitting at a computer for too many hours it's time to put a stop to this ridiculous nonsense. It's true. I've gained waayyyy too much weight over the past year or so. It's got to come off. It's time to say goodbye to it!!! Especially by the time Love Affair gets here!!!
This is my plan. I walk every morning for at least 20 minutes (until my body can handle running). Then 10 minutes of lifting weights. I know this sounds like a wimpy plan but I need to start somewhere. Just to do this I have to get up at 6am. I love walking and getting out into the fresh air just as the world is waking up and the sun is about to come over the mountains. My main desire here is that I just be consistent. I just want to make sure that I stick with a plan continuously for the next year. To me, continuity is what takes the weight off for real. I'm not about losing weight the fastest---just about doing something everyday. Also, I'm trying to take smaller portions and then leave just a little food on my plate. If I want chocolate...which I always do!...I get to have one small square of dove milk chocolate (that would be a huge cutback from the 1/2 bag that I usually eat these days...ummm...yes, that's embarrassing....) And the after 8pm eating has got to go too....
Who is with me? All you need to do is at least 20 minutes of exercise 6 days a week and eat smaller portions. If you want to do more than that go for it but that's the minimum. We're going for being consistent. And doesn't 20 mintues totally sound do-able? Maybe we could make a contest out of it some how. Any ideas? Tell me in the comments if you're interested and then we'll see how we can make it into a fun, friendly competition.
get. LIFE.

Davina...man I thought I had gained weight before love affair and now I'm even worse! I don't fit into my skinny work clothes! I definitely agree with the after 8pm thing and I might just bump it up to 7pm. At first 20 mins almost every day sounded like too much commitment for my lazy butt, ....but really...20 minutes....I could run around outside after my little guy or do some stuff on a mat. OK. You got me.....it was warm enough to wear a swim suit today!!
ps...I am a total chocoholic too! Right now I'm eating pudding cups. They are a little less addicting than anything that I could unwrap from a bag..and some of them are low on calories too. =)
Hello! Today my friend send me the link to this site so I could see some of the pictures you took of her and her fiance. Beautiful work!
So... in browsing your categories, I found this blog and am absolutely excited by it. My husband and I just sold our house and are in the process of moving out. Since getting married I've gained too much weight and haven't made time to go to the gym. I don't even fit in the clothes I wore before I got married. Eeeep! Now with packing up the house, I have even less time for myself.
We are going to Cabo San Lucas in August, so I need to lose some weight so I can look decent in a bathing suit. I need a little motivation and I think this will help. If we motivate each other every day, just a little post or something to help us along. Also, I think a contest is a great idea. More motivation! :)
SO, I just got on as we are doing an engagement tonight and just need some creative juices--I looked up your website and realized that I am in the same boat as you. We opened our studio up in Gardner Village just recently and the pounds have been adding up--so I am there with you--diligently trying to lose weight! Let me know what is up!
I hear you Jackie! I thought I weighed too much before I went to Love Affair, too. And now, holy cow....10 more pounds to lose.
Julie, I'm so glad you found my blog! Together we will lose pounds...we'll just be consistent and eat less and it will come off!
Mindy, congrats on your new studio! I know, when life gets a little crazy it seems the first thing to go is exercise. I really think, though, if you start small and manageable you're more likely to stick with it.
Make sure to post on Move it Mondays how you are doing with your working out! We can all encourage and help each other with hints, tips, and fun info, etc.
Also, I'm journaling to come up with a cool contest so you know I'll have something good soon...so get started! I'll be announcing something for the contest!
I AM SO IN!!!!! I have put on 25lbs in the past 5 years. I say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. I will start today!!!! Thank you for this idea, it makes me feel like part of a team and I am not one to let my team down. GOOD LUCK to everyone!!!
