so. great.

I loved hanging out with Jessica and Caleb.  I already love the chance to have Jessica around the studio.  She does such an amazing, efficient, and personable job of working with everyone in the studio as well as everyone that calls or comes to the studio.  She is a blessing to all of us and I'm so grateful that my life has crossed paths with hers.

Jessica is a modern dancer, loves the Stephanie Meyers "Eclipse" series, The Office, Caleb does the cooking in an apron his friends gave him at his bachelor party, and they are looking forward to their sweet little girl arriving in September.

Jessica is so dedicated, sincere, and pays so much attention to the little details.  Jessica will be answering the phone and emails while I'm in transition from here to South Carolina.

Thank you, Jessica!

blessed. LIFE.

the first thing to go.

How often does your life get busy and the first thing that goes is your exercise routine?  For me that was today.  I got busy, knew that the day was going to be crazy and decided that exercising was the one thing that I didn't have enough time for.

Don't let it happen!  One day you say that the thing that can go is exercise and then you end up out of your routine very quickly.  Get back to your exercise right now.

TODAY.  If you've started eating more...just a little bit lax in eating a little bit more than you were...a little more dessert.  It's not too late.  Get back to your exercise and leave some food on your plate....

your. LIFE.

I LOVE: Ruthie Pearl.

meaning.

I love things with meaning.  Things that have a history.  A story.

I went to the Farmer's Market in Salt Lake with Freda and Matt for their get to know you shoot (more on that next week sometime) and while we were there we met Lauren.  She is the founder and designer of Ruthie Pearl  ** bags.

The name: Ruthie Pearl is Lauren's Gramma.  Every bag she makes is named after someone that Lauren loves, is close to, a friend, a sister.  Listening to her talk and hearing how she has brought together two things she loves...the people in her life and her talent made me want to have one of her bags.  Lauren's bags are wonderful but I'd like one of her bags if for no other reason than to have a constant reminder to treasure the people closest to me, to love and to celebrate the relationships in my life.

So check out Gramma's bag and celebrate someone you love.  Go to www.ruthiepearl.com.**

**Lauren is going to be adding more and more bags over the next few weeks so make sure to check back for your fave if you don't see it right away.**

meaningful. LIFE.

Move it Monday. Out with the Family.

lagoon.

So today we're headed to the long anticipated, saved up for, exciting Lagoon Day.  The kids have been saving their money with the plan that we would go to Lagoon before we left for Clover, South Carolina.  The last time we went was about five years ago when Emmett was six years old, Emma and Miriam were 2 and Gracie....well, the little missy wasn't here yet back then.

So it's off to funnel cakes, rides, more food, and me in my swimsuit today (this is not a sight I wish on anyone at this point...the things we do for our kids...).  To keep with being consistent we will be walking for about 10 hours straight.  I think I'll be logging at least 5-7 miles today around the park.  To make it really count I'll be making sure I don't pig out on every good smell I walk by...

I haven't been to Lagoon in so long I have no idea if they've created any type of non-fattening food...haha.  We aren't bringing a cooler because the kids have saved their money with the plan of eating in the park.  So here's to trying not to gain 10 pounds today!

fun. LIFE.
