Move it Monday: Junk Food

oh...I'm in a habit...

of eating junk food.  

I'm even to the point that I think calling it junk food is just rude.  It's delicious.  I don't want to give it up.

I'm blaming Love Affair.

I gained 5 pounds there.

It was a very delicious five pounds.

We ate at restaurants that were so good I wanted to camp on their sidewalk until my next meal.  Not to mention finding Pokey O's ,a place where you can purchase a custom made, homemade ice cream sandwich.

Ugh.

It's time to get back on the healthy eating train.  I'm tired.  I'm sluggish.  I need a nap.  I don't have energy.  i don't want to get off the couch.  Pass the brownies.

So...tell me what you do when you're feeling like this.  Make it something easy otherwise I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to do it. :)

delicious not nutritious. LIFE.

Lee Ann's idea is great, but even with an umbrella, i don't love walking in the rain if i don't have to. Today is a rainy day in eastern NC. I made some yummy healthy soup for supper, and I'm thinking about making some yummy healthy muffins.

When it comes to junk food, my best self control is keeping it out of the house.

I think it starts at the store ... don't get it .... so you don't eat it.

Ok, so that's not what we want to do. But something I do is to get extra veggies and stuff. If I want something junkie, I'll eat a handful of carrots, have a glass of water and wait 15 min our so .... then see if I still want the tasty goodness of a junky snack. i find that if i do, it's often smaller. :)

ps-missed these posts! it's been SO lovely ... been doing quite a bit of walking outside. yesterday, i rode my bike to the gym, then did about an hour of weights, then rode home. saved gas, the environment and got some exercise :)

do you live walking or biking distance from school? maybe you can bike to get the kids?
