Move it Monday: Back in the Saddle...again.
Gene Autry and I.
I back in the saddle. I'm blogging again...hopefully. And I'm back on a schedule to get with the program and get healthy.
People say that they do best losing weight in the summer with all that garden fresh food everywhere and time to exercise, etc. Not me! Summer is the hardest time of the year for me to stick to my exercise plan. My kids are home and we're doing something different everyday or staying up until ridiculous hours and getting to bed so late that by the time I get the day in gear it's way too hot to walk outside...my excuses in the summer can go on and on. :) Not to mention the ice cream.
I have to say I love my husband's version of a Coldstone ice cream. It's so stinkin' good and such a great reward at night as we sit on the could and chat or watch a movie. (I'm kidding that it's a great reward. I guess it's a great reward if we want to die and early death...)
Back to school. Back to the routine means I get to get back to being healthy and exercising.
So...this week it's back to my old ways of being healthy. Eating less, putting less on my plate, 20 minutes of exercise everyday...all the usual suspects.
I'm back in the saddle.
How about you?
healthy. LIFE.

Good for you for getting back to healthy habits! I hope you've had an amazing summer!
GIRL!!!!!! Glad to see you're back. I was wondering. ;)
I feel I'm getting more of a schedule now, too, and I love it!
I learned how to make my own veggie dip. WIth my own homemade yogurt. It's been a great month.
xoxo,~K
I've been walking pretty consistently this week. :)
Ok, so I would love Davina's weigh in on this:

Yeah, you're back! I've missed you and your blog! Thanks for getting "back in the saddle".
Karen, I don't know what to think about acacia berry stuff. They make it look like real news reporting but I don't know that it is...what are your thoughts?
Hubby and I are taking dance class ... which seems like it will be quite a workout on the legs!
I've not really read much on the berry stuff, Davina. Idnunno. It sounds too good to be true, so it probably IS too good to be true, know? I mean ... eat all the junk you want and just melt pounds away? It seems like a short term solution ... not a healthy lifestyle change. I'm curious what, if any, long term ramifications might exist.
Yo, getting in my workout groove is great!
It's only Tu/Th for now, but it's a start. Today = awesomeness in weightlifting and some intervals on the treadmill. YES! :)
dude, I just spent an insane 90 min. at the gym. 1/2 on weights, 1/2 on bike/cardio. insane.
FOr sure I"m getting my 8 glasses of water today!
HOw goes everyone else?
*sigh*
I have a love-hate relationship with my body changing sizes. The "love" part is just vanity ... I like to know I'm smaller. What girl doesn't? But the hate part follows closely behind. Because I hate shopping. And when I get smaller, my clothes don't fit. And I have a hard body to fit (30-32 inch inseams anyone?). So when I found out my rib cage shrank 2 inches and I probably need to start buying new bras ... UGH! Bras are an INVESTMENT. The good ones anyway. And now I have to start over.
Sigh.
I've been enjoying all of the fall weather ... makes it easy to get outside and take walks.
of course my black and blue big toe doesn't make it easy, but whaddya do?
Hello Karen! You are so faithful. :) What happened to your big toe? Are you and your husband still taking dance classes? COngrats on needing to buy a new bra! I hear you on the shopping, though. I could go my whole life without shopping, I think. I've found it's more fun with friends who know how to shop and what to look for. I like it much better that way...
