SOoooo...this month the prize is an UNO dvd (value $99) for anyone from Lauren Clark. She is the master teacher when it comes to creating works of art in photoshop from the images you shoot.
April Contest:
Just do some form of exercise everyday...at least 20 solid minutes of real exercise...not "I hope I can count this as exercise" kind of exercise. But honest to goodness, sweating, fat burning, step counting, mile marker, kinds of exercise. Tell us here everyday on the weekly post what you're doing for exercise.
So...get your walking, running, jumping, climbing, bouncing, dancing, workin' it, shoes on and let's burn up this month...
leave the fat behind. LIFE.

I'm planning on running a half-marathon in June. That is forcing me (motivating me) out the door. Yesterday I ran for a straight hour, and I'm SO proud of myself! I'd fallen off the wagon (threw a little tantrum and gave up because the weight wasn't coming off), but I'm back. Being more careful about what I eat, drinking more water, and exercising regularly. Weight aside, I just feel better about myself and my life if I'm working on ti.
This makes me so excited...I just go a new walking buddy and she and I have been walking every day for an hour! Our three mile route takes us up these nasty hills, and the whole time I'm chanting...'It's good for our butts, it's good for our butts!' It's been awesome!
Love the chant! I've changed my walking route and added a few hills and another 1/2 mile. Whew! Some days it's a killer, but it's working! Trying to work up to 5 miles at once. Congrats, Karen! Woo hoo!!!
Watch 'em!
Thanks, LeeAnn.
Wow, you ladies are going to be some STIFF competition this month!!!!
In advance, I declare dirt moving as exercise. ;)
Next month, you're giving away a shopping spree to Totally Rad Actions to go along with Uno, right? ;)
OK Davina ... you caught me. I've not been physically active much this year. But today, we dropped my car off at the shop. And I told my husband I could walk home from his office. SO I did. :) A nice 30 minute walk. There. Getting moving, girl! :)
Congrats to Karen and thanks for the moving dirt declaration!! I worked in the yard this morning to get my garden ready for planting. That was some good exercise for me today. I didn't use a tiller--I used a rake. I actually thought about "karencise" or whatever she has called it when i was working today. Haha.
I gave blood today (not last week like I told yall) so i'll walk tomorrow for my exercise.
Ummm....moving dirt doesn't count. Sorry, Karen. :)
SERIOUSLY, Davina???? Using the shovel to lift it (5-7 pounds each time), repeated for hours on end ... doesn't count?
I think you're having me on ...
30 min of walking and 10 min of weights
I'm working up my petition to consider dirt moving as an aerobic activity ... be forewarned!
I walked 30 min today. The weather was beautiful and it's supposed to rain tonight. I'm sooo excited for the rain to wash away most of the pollen. It is intense in eastern NC--I even wore a mask when I worked in the yard today to try to stay healthy.
It seems I have started some good new habits from last month's challenge--even if i forgot to post here everyday. I'm still drinking lots of water and taking vitamin and calcium supplements everyday. Yay!!
I've been doing better about drinking water, too, amanda! Keep it up! :)
LIfted weights today for about 25 minutes. :)
I'm adding more hills and all the while singing, "it's good for our butts..."!!!
Thanks, Johanna!
haha!
walked about 20 minutes. Also did about 5-10 minutes worth of squats. My quads will hate me tomorrow. My arms hate me today from weights yesterday
