Move it Monday is back.
I think I may be an elephant.
You gotta love this 4'x4' scale (yes, I did say 4 foot by 4 foot). It measures you in animals rather than numbers. You may weigh more than an baby koala and hopefully less than a bear...
Today, I think I'm closer to an elephant.
And so...Move it Monday is back.
Whether you like it or not.
I can't live without it.
I've gained 6 more pounds in the last 2 weeks (that means I've gained almost 12 pounds of the 25 that I lost...not good!). I'm out of control and I need someone to have to answer to...that's where my Move it Monday girls come in! I'll help you...please help me...
So, if you're in the same boat as me (and hopefully together we won't capsize it...the boat) then let's get together and melt off some pounds that are making us feel less healthy, less energy, less of...pretty much everything...
Get geared up now because next week we're going back to Move it Monday contests and getting fit again. I miss exercising and eating less. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE eating. I just like eating less of all of the food that I like to eat.
Make sure to check back here Monday, March 1st for our March Move it Monday contest. You know you want to be more healthy...
Are you in?
healthy. LIFE.

what perfect timing! i just gave up eating meat, sweets + drinking soda for the 40 days of lent because i want to be healthier. i can't wait!
I am excited for this! I recently lost 45 lbs. and this year my goal is to be more active, eat better and maintain!! Thanks Davina!!
I'm in. I actually just set a new mini goal today. Also, I'm using the LOSEIT app for the iphone (which you can use with friends) so if you get on that friend me and then there is extra accountability all the other days of the week!! :)
I love that scale! ;)
Perfect timing! 3 weeks ago my doc gave me a talking to and I'm trying to get healthier....starting with just walking and eating less (and better)...so far I've lost 13 pounds and 13.5 inches. But the last 2 days I've been feeling a little out of sorts (it's so easy to feel that way)...so I can't wait to join in on the Move it Monday this time :)
Oh and for anybody that's interested..I've been using an awesome website (it's free) to track what I eat and how much I exercise and there's tons of recipes and other resources on there. www.sparkpeople.com
Ok, I'm back too!!! We must be on the same channel, because yesterday i said to myself..."ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" and i started counting calories!!! :) Sadly though, this morning I drove downtown with my youngest to return a lens rental. He has learned that when we do this, we swing by Krispy Kreme. I couldn't let my 4 year old down...so we went. I think you know the rest of the story.....
But I'm ready for Move it Monday!! :)
katie...thansk for the website!!
Just hit a new high for myself on the scale this morning. Ugh. I can no longer count on myself--I need to be accountable to others! Here's to getting healthy!
HEY KATIE! *wave to katie* i've been reading about her working on a new healthy lifestyle on her blog. i'm so proud of her for the changes she making.
i don't have any weight to lose, but i still have to take care of my body. i definitely need to work out more. only one day last week was not enough. i love the accountability here.
Hey Girls! I'm so excited I'm not alone! Thank you for joining the Move it Monday cause! :) I can't wait for next week!
I can't wait! Looking forward to it!
hi davina! love this post. circulating around this AM. i'm in the same boat! i read fit for life before the holidays hit and since have read it at least a dozen more times. i've lost 12 pounds since taking on this new eating lifestyle. highly recommend the read - it's not intense just sheds light on what types of foods we really need, how our body breaks it down . . . etc. i have never felt better in my life, clarity and energy wise and was really surprised at how gooooood food is {not middle isle foods}. just thought i'd share! i look forward to this inspiration.
YAY!! Not for you feeling like you need it, but because I'm FINALLY back on the wagon, consistently, with goals and a plan. I was kind of bummed I missed it the first time around because I didn't get my act together, but now I'm going to play! :)
WOW! Davina, you have a bunch of new names this time! Are you ready to give up sugar?!!! :) It is so bad for you in so many ways. Once you let it go the weight part isn't so hard.
I am ready to rev up my exercise routine. This time in moderation.:)
Where's our friend Karen? :)
Looking forward to my DAY with Davina! Maybe this summer?!
streeeeeeeetch.
here I am ......
and Davina, I'm off sugar, and down 7 pounds in the last 4-6 weeks .... and it's staying off. sugar is added and hidden in SO MANY things .... it's insane.
i need to hyper-charge my exercise, so I'm in .... not sure if I really stand a chance with all these new faces ...
Laura, do you feel like there's extra pressure, being a defending champion???? ;)
KAREN!!!! Oh yeah! For sure. All the watchers from last time are now ready to join in!
I'm SOOOOOO proud of you going off sugar!!!! It is HARD but the best thing you could do for yourself! Great job on the weight loss too!
Knowing that March 1st is coming I went for a little walk with my 5 year old. We mostly strolled and noticed all the litter on the sidewalks and gutters. He sad he felt sad for the earth. I told him next time we'd bring our garbage bag.
I came home and did my sit up tape, 15 push ups and the "plank" to the count of 20. That's hard! I have barely been excercising so hopefully this will jump me back into it! :)
Yesterday we celebrated hubby's birthday and I totally ate lots of stuff I shouldn't have .... and within an hour my body was in REVOLUTION - it's amazing that after 6 weeks, hwo you feel when you try to cheat. Yikes!
I'm eagerly waiting to see what the MIM post will be today. What our overall goals for the year will be.
This year is different for me .... I've lost nearly 10 pounds in the last 7 weeks. And the thought of doing down more than 5 more pounds makes me nervous. Silly, right? But if I drop too much more, my BMI will be in the "underweight" category.
Oh, are you taking post topics? I'd love to learn more about the whole BMI thing. Also, didn't you talk about measurements at some point? I keep reading about how important it is for a person's waistline to be less than 1/2 of their height. Better prevention against type 2 diabetes (type 1 runs in my family, so I'm really knowledgeable about that, but not type2).
Bring on the new MIM!!! :)
