this is it.

The last couple of days of the month! We have some people who have really worked hard this month to stay consistent. I'm very impressed and super proud of you! I think we may have a three way tie...what to do?!?! :)

Don't miss a day now. And remember there's still the year contest to keep up with...

And from my fave source of good and healthy ideas...my health insurance company...

Don’t underestimate the power of a good walk!

Walking is an excellent way to participate in physical activity. You can walk anywhere, and it doesn’t require a gym membership or any special equipment. You just need a sturdy pair of walking shoes and a little time.

 Benefits of Walking

 - Helps with weight loss or maintenance

- Strengthens your heart

- Prevents diabetes and osteoporosis

- Lowers blood pressure and cholesterol

- Increases energy

- Reduces stress

- If you’re going with a friend or family member…it’s a great way to build and strengthen your relationships

Have fun this week!

healthy. LIFE.

Hi Everyone! Thanks Davina, my son is fine now, he just had a 24 hour bug so I am grateful!! I came across this article today and thought it would be cool to share it here, it is about the power of positive thinking and I always need to be reminded of this. Here is he link:

not doing weights @ the Y, but clearing/emptying boxes from the spare bedroom. Does that count for something? I'm exhausted!

Well, I did do pushups last night before bed...the second time this week that I have done them late at night.

Today was work and family and I love them but no time for exercise. I will probably do sit-ups before bed tonight...I need to get running in the mornings, please let up, rain!

Mike, Happy Birthday! Mine was today! Go Aries! :)

I had an awesome day...3 mile walk around the resevoir (beautiful) with girlfriends. Then a 70! yes 70! minute massage!!! Oh...hurt so good. She dug into my IT bands with her ELBOW!

I did have cake tonight...wheat free...made by me. With a little chocolate sauce dribbled on top. It was delish!

no knee will not get better...they want to do knee re-placement surgery! ugh! but want to hold off on that as long as possible.....they did encourage me to lose a little weight as that may reduce the pain in the joints (it was everything I could do to not have a tantrum right there in the office......sniff, sniff...but I AM trying to lose weight and now you are saying no to the exercise I like....sniff!!!!)

I meet with a physical therapist at the Y next Monday to see what some options are.....in all chaos, there is oppurtunity! :-)

Only ate 1/2 of my burger at lunch! :) AND ordered a salad as a side dish. Bonus points, right?

Absolutely exhausted after 2 family portrait sessions. Phew.

Happy Birthday, Laura...I'm envious of that massage!

Rebekah, that's not good news! I'm sure you're frustrated. I think I would be too! I hope that your meeting with PT goes well at the Y next week. Make sure to tell us what they say...

Karen...please tell me the snow has finally stopped there! Does it not know it's April??? Way to go ordering something healthy after a tough day shooting. That's ALWAYS when I want to give myself something I 'deserve'. What does that mean? I 'deserve' it? What? I deserve to make myself fatter? What am I thinking when I do stuff like that? I'm very impressed that you made good choices. Way to go!

Rebekah I feel so bad for your frustration with your knee. Last year I was doing TEAM in training and got injured and had to drop out and quit walking for months. It was hard. And hard not to exercise.

I do want to tell you that time will make a difference. Whether it is therapy or surgery, you will get better. I walked 10 miles yesterday and actually felt pretty good at the end! Except some sore feet!

Have hope.
