The top 10 worst foods.

Check out this video for some good info on your fave foods.  This reminds me of how much I really don't need a hamburger for lunch, I can leave those awesome Little Debbie snacks at the grocery store, and I really can pass up the hot light at Krispy Kreme.

healthy. LIFE.

i left some of my breakfast on my plate this morning. it helped that the eggs weren't tasty, so i'm not sure it's exactly an act of willpower.

Thank you for posting this, I am gonna make my kids and hubby watch it when they get home! It really is amazing and disgusting what we put in our bodies!

Agree. Our family has become so much more healthier this past year. This year I can actually say my resolution of eating healthier and exercising more has actually happened!

What a great video and what a cute girl telling us the news. I have to say being off wheat, dairy and sugar, it is tempting to find other "bad" foods to eat. French fries being one. Guess that's the end of that!

Ate out last night and had a turkey burger with no bun and cole slaw instead of fries.

Karen, painting is hard work!

Thanks you for this!! I am about to embark on a commitment to my self to do bikram yoga every day for 10 days in a row. If I can do that it will turn into 20 days and then 60!! You always inspire me not just in the world of photography , but also in my daily life and in my desire to be healthy.
You rock Davina!

I can easily say I left my bacon on the plate this morning!

I am going to burn in Move it Monday hell. I drank not one but TWO sodas yesterday. Thus proving, if it's around you WILL be tempted (and probably give in) to stuff around the house. I have no idea why my husband has acquired soda (we haven't had it in the house regularly), but it just vexed me yesterday.

Guess this is a good push to have more healthful options around.

Oh, has anyone else tried those True North Crisps? I had some of the almond triple berry crisps this week, and I'm completely addicted. THEIR slogan should be "nobody can eat just one" ;)

In an effort to redeem myself, I went to YOGA at the gym today. I intended to stay and bike afterwards, but I was pooped and almost left, then said "NO!!!!" and made myself get on a bike for 4 miles. Phew! Feeling less guilty about that soda.

Trying to eat less, but having a hard time guaging the cereal in the morning. Hmmmmm.

Okay, Karen. I was just thinking you were kicking my butt but then I read your posts! You are still probably kicking it!

Last night we had soba noodles with chicken, butter beans and peanut sauce. I used to get take out lunch at a little Chinese soup shop and the lady would say "get Soba...good for diet!" That's never left me. Gluten free people can eat soba noodles which are made from buckwheat which is on the approved list. At least for me. Not sure about gluten allergen people.

Yesterday I had to take my car in for smog check so walked home from that and then picked it up by riding my bike! It was a great sneak in of exercise.

My lunches are pretty small. I usually just make a sandwich. I'm afraid to leave anything on my plate since I'm already not eating enough.

Today we walked to the coffee shop and I had eggs and a diet Snapple. No bacon. :)

Another too small lunch. Gotta work on my lunches.

One package of oatmeal instead of two. :)

A salad at Round Table Pizza instead of pizza.
I did lift a piece to my nose and inhaled deeply. :)

Laura, you're kicking my butt to Chinatown!

Yesterday, we hosted a big party ... which meant chili, my homemade cinnamon rolls and beer. Lots of beer.

I fail.

I have, however, been back on the exercise train with all of my eating transgressions ... intense yoga Saturday + serious bike time. Big bike time + a little weights today.

Here's the thing about bigger lunches, Laura .... you have the rest of the day to burn it off. At night? Not so much. But for lunch .... then you can go walk and whatnot.

Oh, so I've been eating a bit more for breakfast, but the addition has been FRUIT .... do I get penalized for that?

rocked out the bike yesterday after a great bridal consult! :)
