I LOVE: Emma and Locks of LOVE.

some kind of wonderful.

Last night as I laid in bed with Emma chatting about her day, she told me that she wanted to cut all of her hair off for Locks of LOVE.  I was not ready for this!  I love her long hair.  At the same time, I knew how much she loves her long hair.  She wanted me to get up right then and there, at 10pm and cut it all off.  I told her maybe she could get up in the morning, wash her hair, and then we'd see about cutting it before school...if there was time.

This morning she was the first one out of bed, showered, and waiting in the kitchen for me to cut off her long locks for love.

She has short hair now...and I love her all the more for it...

you go Emma! The short hair is super cute too. I love the look Gracie is giving in that shot towards the bottom. Too funny! Totally made me laugh!

Emma, that was very sweet of you to do that. You have cousins who have done the same thing. You are a beautiful girl and it has nothing to do with the length of your hair. I am proud of you. I love you.

Emma does NOT look like herself!

But it it`s cool that she is

giving it away for locks of love!

My daughter donated to Locks of LOVE a few years ago. She looked so cute with the haircut. The ponytail was damp, so we had to let it dry before we mailed it. We used a magnetic clip on the frig to hold it until it was dry enough. Very weird to walk through the kitchen and see just her ponytail hanging there.

Thank you everyone for your sweet words to Emma. She's home from school and I can't believe her hair is chopped off! She looks so different...and so cute.

Jen, that is exactly what we've had to do. Her hair was soaking wet this morning so her ponytail has been sitting around all day trying to get dry before we send it off. It's so strange. Mike and I were talking about the process the hair goes through and the way they make the hairpieces for the kids. I love that a little girl will be wearing Emma's hair.

Kathryn has done this 3 times and I always smile when I think of another little girl going around with Kathryn's curls! (:
