PIggly Wiggly.
Really.
There really is a Piggly Wiggly in my town. I think that means I definitely live in the South.
Have you seen the movie "Sweet Home Alabama"? I remember the line when Reece Witherspoon's character says to her ex-husband, "What?! Do they not sell soap down at the Piggly Wiggly?" I thought that they had MADE UP that name.
Not so. It's a grocery store in Clover, South Carolina...
crazy. LIFE.

Just the fact that you have a Piggly Wiggly definitely means Clover is not a very big town and you are now officially in the South! Just an FYI, Piggly Wiggly's have a characteristic of being NOT the greatest grocery store so if you shop there you'll have to let us know your experience. My first experience with one was dust on the top of the soup cans about 1" thick... LOL.
Why yes, they are REAL! :) Welcome to the south girl! If you lived a little closer I would bring you some boiled peanuts and a big pitcher of sweet tea!
HAHAHAHA! That's hilarious, because I always laugh whenever I say I'm going to "Piggly Wiggly!" We have lots of them here where I live; in Wisconsin! That's way up North, so we have that funny grocery store up here too. I love shopping there! :-P
There's a movie rental store in Chicago called "Video Schmideo!" :D
Millie, thanks for the heads up! haha...
Jill, boiled peanuts?!?
Jennica, really? I had no idea they were up north. So funny about the video store. We just saw a gas station in Columbia, SC called El Cheapo!!! hahaha...
Welcome to the South Davina. Some of us Southerners also refer to it as The Pig or my favorite it the Hoggily Woggily. They have bumper stickers and t-shirts that say I'm Sticking With The Pig.
Here's a little history for you...about your store in the South!

By the way, in the Queen City up North, I'm sorry to say, we don't have one. Gee, look at what you would have missed!
Ha!! I'm so laughing at this! Piggly Wiggly (and the rest of the south!) welcome you! :)
Cleveland, Texas, right by girl's camp. That was a fun place to buy supplies. Glad you are in your house (later post)
Schools starts in Springville on Wednesday as well.
Miss you.
Hahaha! Sorry - I was scrolling through your blog and found this and I laughed out loud!! I lived in Mississippi for almost a year and when I drove by the Piggly Wiggly there I almost peed my pants! Hahahaha! I'm going to have to come visit you. :)
PRAISE HIS NAME for Piggly Wiggly!! WELCOME to GOD's COUNTRY:)
