Move It Monday. If you missed a day.
If you missed a day....like me.
Hey Everybody! So sorry I missed posting yesterday. We were meeting with the principals of the schools that our kids are going to go to, our builder for our new home, and catching our plane...which we ended up missing our connecting flight in Atlanta! So we stayed late, last night in Atlanta....ugh...no clothes...no luggage...
So! Being on a house hunting trip it was pretty hard to stay consistent in my workout. We were up early and out late every day looking at houses. It was a crazy six days! I got to exercise a few of the days and then other days just fell into bed. I'm not giving up though and neither should you. Tonight I'm going to go out and walk (I was up at 5:30am to catch my flight....although I could probably count all of the walking in airports I've done in the last two days as exercise! lol.) and I'm still leaving food on my plate and taking smaller portions.
My tidbit for this week is DON'T GIVE UP. If you've missed a few days...it doesn't matter!!! Just get out there tonight and take a walk, eat less for dinner, pass on the dessert except for that little spoonful. Remember! You want to feel better. You want to eat better. You want to feel strong. You want to be happier. You can do this!
live. LIFE.
***remember to check in here in the comments and tell me how you did this week!***

I went to Portland for an E-shoot and walked the downtown yesterday, today I have a head cold, and am fasting b/c I feel lousy. I will work out tomorrow, for sure, head cold and all. But last week I worked out everyday. YAY! It is not fun to lug stuff around airports, hopefully you both will get a massage.
i did good this week. i could have walked more but i spent a lot of time outside because the weather is nicer. ate dinner with family in their homes a lot this week so the home cooked meals and portions were awesome.
I'm trying to eat less and go outside more but I'm not actually exercising. I haven't weighed this much in 2 years! But my mom is getting a new elliptical tomorrow so my new goal is to work out {go running or something else} every night after I put my kid down to bed.
Its always good to remember that even if you might have a crappy day of eating, working out will make you feel better about the damage done. now to practice what I preach...
I didn't walk like I wanted to, but I did a few days of 30 min hardcore Denise Austin workout. It's actually an hour long video, but I'll have to work my way to that. She definitely kicked my butt this week, but her (corny) energy seems to keep me going. :)
In case anyone wants to know the video I have is Fat Blasting Yoga (21 Days to a Yoga Body). It's hard, but you feel amazing afterwards. I want to walk too. Maybe switch off days so I don't get bored.
You are so sweet to stay focused and be supportive to everyone, you are inspiring me too!
What a week, but it sounds like you got so much done! I can't believe it. Now that you are going to be on the east coast, maybe I'll get to meet you one day. You are a power of inspiration. One child has slowed me and my business down big time, since I first heard you on ask and learn wednesday over a year ago you have inspired me to balance it all. Good luck with your move! Sounds exciting!!!! And enjoy the trees! And I am trying to move more, eat less! :-)
honey, you walked ALL OVER tons of houses .... which is a workout in and of itself!
I missed a few days of working out because I was filling in for my mom at her office (babysitting the phone, fax and email) so that she and my dad could go on vacation. I plan on jumping in the pool again tomorrow after I go get a diabetes test done. Mom scared me because she came home from vacation/doctor visit and said they detected a small amount of the same type of cancer my grandmother died from. Fortunealy they caught it early and she is undergoing treatment to stop any growth. I take after dad's side, but that means diabetes. So I am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Nothing like a good scare to kick one rear into gear.
Dinea, I hope you're feeling better! A massage sounds wonderful. Way to stick with it!
RObin, I think being outside makes a difference for your body. So often we sit too long behind our computers. I'm impressed you spent a lot of time outside.! Yay!
Jackie! So true! How's it going with the ellipitical?
Kelly, I hear you about Denise Austin...she makes you work hard. I LOVE Yoga...I'll have to check out that video. Did you feel like it helped you a lot to tone up and get your heart rate going?
Lisa, thank you so much for your post that totally made my day! What kind things to say to me. I'm so glad you're getting moving and eating less. I think that, in so many ways, is 1/2 the battle.
karen, I like the way you think! :)
Alaina, great attitude! Just get back to swimming and keep going. If you miss a day...just get back in the pool the next day. How did your diabetes test go?
This week was hard because we had a week of birthday celebrations for my now 4-year-old. . .I often take on way too much and run myself ragged. I was sick all weekend, I think as a result of over doing things.
I still made it to the gym 3 times last week, went running once and chased after 18 four year olds for a few hours on Tuesday. Not as much as I would have liked to have done. I did, however only have one tiny piece of birthday cake & passed on the ice cream and other goodies. This week will be better!
