Sajini and Joshua in Philadelphia

All over town.

Sajini and Joshua totally had plans when I arrived into Philadelphia.  They knew all of the places that they wanted to try to make it to before the light ran out of the day.  We went to the park near where Joshua grew up and where he now runs on the trails there.  In town nearby we had to get a little lunch and great conversation....and, of course a few pictures.

I got to see the absolutely gorgeous old home that Sajini lives in with friends...I'm convinced even more that I want an old home with hardwood floors throughout.  We went to the corner where Sajini and Joshua read and have coffee.

THEN!  We went to the oldest alley with homes (where people still live) in Philadelphia.  Now, I wish that I could remember how old it is (maybe Sajini can tell me in the comments).

We went all over the place and had a really wonderful time.  I loved all of the times we jumped in the car and drove to another location.  The chance to talk and get to know Sajini and Joshua is the best part of the whole get to know you session (well, it's a close close second to the shooting...because that's darn fun!). I get to find out things like Joshua is a dentist in Italy.  Sajini is from India and had to come to America to meet one of her closest friends...whose family lives down the street from Sajini's family in India.  Sajini used to be a tomboy.  Joshua and Sajini love to cook together and do whenever they get the chance.  They love Bollywood movies (does anyone have one to recommend to me...I've heard I have to watch one!).  The place where Joshua is living in Italy would be a gorgeous place for a photography workshop.  Sajini and Joshua are loved dearly by many people.  And they give great love to others.

Thanks for the wonderful reminder of how beautiful Philadelphia is, Sajini and Joshua.  I can't wait for May to get here!

real. LIFE.

Yah. I love looking at the pictures. You made us look good. Umm... Josh doesnt like bollywood movies. He sleeps through them. :) I force him to watch it. :) Elfreth's Alley was open in 1702.

WHAT???! Davina in Philly and I had no idea! Shame on you! :) Seriously, please call me when you are in town for their wedding! LOVELY photos and I worked right around the corner from Elfreth's Alley when I was right out of college, I would walk down it on my way to my building everyday, isn't it amazing?
Lovely couple.

Sajini, thanks for setting the record straight on Josh and Bollywood movies! haha. I remember now us talking about the way he totally can't sit through one of them! And thanks for helping me out on Elfreth's Alley.

Betsy. Thank you! What wonderful things to say.

Courtney, I appreciate you seeing the creativity in these. Really, though so much of what I get to do is a collaborative effort. I love that the couples that I work with are so open with me...it makes the creative juices flow that much more freely between all of us. And, of course, I would LOVE to see you at Love Affair!

Rebeckah-soulful-that is a wonderful word. Thank you for using it to describe my work...it's totally what I'm going for and I'm so glad it's coming through. Thank you.

George, thank you!

Joy! Ohmiheck! I would have loved to have seen you. I was only there for one day. I would love to see you when I come out again.
