photo shoots....with a Canon!?!?
We had so many fabulous models at Love Affair. I wish I'd have gotten to shoot with every one of them! I was teaching and helping and giving orders (lol) so I didn't get to shoot a whole lot. (Big thanks to Millie and her wonderful clients and friends that came out and braved the cold and wind to be photographed.)
I do have to admit that I shot the majority of these images with a Canon 5d. And I must say that I am in love with the full frame sensor...especially when it has the 24mm lens on it! Whoa, baby. That's pretty. I can't believe how close you can get with that 24 and focus so perfectly. It's a dream. The skin tones are so nice right out of camera, too. I'm trying to figure that out with my processing. The girls (Millie, Kelly, and Lauren) are trying to sway me to the dark side. So what do you think? Should I switch to Canon?

I love canon and nikon. I shoot canon, but nikon has the awesome D3 and the opportunity to use the Fuji stuff. I say go with what your heart tells you.

Woah Girl....before you even THINK about Canon, you need to try what actually IS the best 35mmm FF digit camera on the market,,,the Nikon D3. The clunky 5d is an amateur camera compared to the D3. Try it...you'll love it.

Uh Yeah! Hello! Don't you know how wonderful Canons are? They are so much cooler than any other brand out there. Especially the 5D. Please come over to the "dark side". It's lots of fun and you won't regret it.

Oh dear, another one bites the dust? I am thinking about it myself. The D3 is tempting tho, Canon may take the cake in skin tones, hard to resist...I've been a Nikon user for 30 years, it's hard to cross over.

Just follow your heart, that's what I always do. No wait, I actually always go with Nikon, no matter what my heart is saying. Lucky for me, right now my heart is saying "D3...babump...D3...babump...D3...babump."

Yes, Canon all the way. My family has been shooting with Canon cameras for years. My husband started with the Canon AE-1 over 25 years ago. My daughter is now in photography school at La Tech and using a Canon 30D. I have a 40D. The colors are beautiful. Love the photos.
One thing to consider, how much glass do you have with Nikon? As expensive as lenses are it can be expensive to switch. For the cost of switching you could easily have the D3. My D300 feels as heavy as the 5D. There is a big difference in the 200d and the 300d. There are many posts on the DWF about the difference. I would love to know your favorite Nikon lenses. I was at the Love Affair workshop. I have both Nikon and Canon. Lots of Canon glass but just the 24-70 2.8 with Nikon. I got it instead of the 17-55 so one day it will fit on the D3. :)
