Here's What You've Been Waiting For!!

*First of all...thank you to Lauren for the majority of these pictures, who became the designated photographer as we were all running around the island, taking notes, and gabbing.
Where? The workshop is on Bald Head Island in North Carolina! and you won't want to leave....
You will want to fly into the Wilmington (ILM) airport (trust on this one...I've tried every way to see if I can get a cheaper ticket to Raleigh and then drive to Wilmington...totally not worth it because it's a few hours drive after you get off the plane!) The drive from Wilmington Airport is about 20 minutes to Bald Head Island. From there you'll get on a ferry and it will take you out to the island.
What's it like? The moment you step off the ferry the pace slows down and the stress starts to melt away...
When you start driving a golf cart around (no cars allowed on the island!) you are never going to want to leave. It won't be swimsuit weather...we're thinking fun evenings around the fire (maybe some yummy s'mores) or sitting on the porch wrapped in a blanket drinking hot chocolate and gabbing with the girls. The sound of the waves hitting the beach, the bugs singing in the night, the rainforest feel of the pathways through the island, sand between your toes, wind in your hair on a crisp morning...all the things to look forward to. I can't wait to go back!
What is the workshop going to be like? This is going to be packed full of great photography inspiration and business knowledge and at the same time a wonderful vacation....
Instead of leaving the workshop feeling like you need a vacation you'll leave feeling invigorated, excited, rejuvenated and excited about all the personalized help that you've gotten. It's going to be something completely different!
Who is it for? This workshop is exclusively for women...
So many have been talking about what women photographers need and we decided it was time to provide it. Women feel pulled in so many different directions and at the same time want to be creative this is going to answer how to make that happen just for you. So you won't want to miss this!
When is it? The dates of the workshop are February 17-22...
This is the first workshop to be all inclusive and to be five days long. You will be amazed at the price because all you'll have to pay for is your airline ticket and your transportation to the island. We take care of everything else! No worries for you. You'll fly in on the 17th and fly out on the 22nd. You will definitely NOT want to miss the finale night on the 21st!!
Where will we be staying? The homes we'll be staying in are million dollar homes...
All of the homes all look out onto the ocean and have their own private beaches. They are so comfortable with a place to relax for everyone.
I have to sign up where do I do it? We'll be opening up registration as soon as our website is ready...

Looks like will be a great workshop. Especially every host is in different stage of life and that make the workshop even more appealing
to someone who is not a single young girl--like me. ^_^
BTW, I was wondering about the photographer scholarship. Is it still going on? Do I have to be a total rookie in the industry to be qualified?
Love your new blog and your new branding(logo and not use "Fear"). In my humble opinion, the change totally fits your style and is top design for a top photographer like you. As to me, I'll stick with blogger for a while.

Oops! That last comment was really from me! It looks like my husband had logged into my computer. lol.
I was just pricing flights and I was curious what the time/agenda was like on the 17th and 22nd.... in other words... I noticed that flights wont get into ILM until the late afternoon or evening... therefore, would I need to book a flight the day before because we'd be starting first thing in the morning on the 17th? And as for the 22nd, would we just 'wake and check out' or are there things planned on the 22nd so not to book a flight until that night? Just curious?

I know it's difficult to plan but the earlier you can get in on the 17th the better. It will give you a chance to get settle in, have a little fun on the island, etc. Nothing is technically planned until dinner time on that day. But it would be fun for you to be able to hang out a little before then or just have some time to yourself. And,Kate, thank you so much for your kind words to me. They've made my day. Really. Have you already sent your name and email address to millie@millieholloman.com? I'm going to go and just check the list and make sure you're on it.
Oh! and on the 22nd you can leave whenever you want. Just make sure you don't leave any sooner than that morning!
Kate, I don't see you on the list. Make sure to send your info to millie@millieholloman.com asap. Our list for sending out when registration goes live is already way over what our space available for the class is. We're expecting a sell out very quickly....which is beyond our wildest expectations when we were planning. It's very exciting but means that acting quickly when registration goes live is pretty important. crazy. I really can't believe it!
