family time.

I have been looking forward to having a chance to hang out with Saylor and her family for quite a while.  Our schedules finally matched up just before I left Utah and I'm so glad.

The relationship between Saylor and her dad, Nate, is fun, encouraging, and silly.  They love to laugh together and he loves to push her to try just a little harder.  Saylor has had a few setbacks with being able to walk since her last set of casts.  She decided to try and walk while I was there with out any help and her dad encouraged her through every step on the back porch until she made it to him on the hammock.

Saylor really doesn't let anything stop her.  She jumped like a monkey on the trampoline and then raced along the ramp (given to her as a gift from a cement company) like she was in the Indy 500, and then climbed the stairs faster than I can walk them.  She is brave in the face of things most adults would definitely be woosie over and has a bit of mischief in her eyes.

It's been such a gift to get to be with Saylor and Audrey.  I've seen some of the sacrifices, patience, and love that goes into their sweet relationship.  Now, to see how all of that translates over with Saylor's dad and her brother (Stockton) and sister  (Storie) was such a gift.

Saylor has been through a lot...and none of it would have been possible without her sweet family.

Read more about them here.

paint.

Yes.  This is my new studio space...in my house.  I'm sure many of you are saying, "But you said moving your studio out of your home was the best thing you've ever done."  Too true!  It was.  I've also said, "Put it out there, what you need in a studio, and it will come to you.  It may take a while but it will come to you."  The spaces I've seen here are $2000 a month.  That's way out of the range of what I feel would be a good ROI.

So.  I'm going to set up shop in my home for now.  I'm actually pretty excited about it because it's being painted (I'll show you a sneak peek of the paint before the week is out BUT I won't be showing you my finished studio for a couple of weeks.)  It's going to end up looking really great!

Also, when I was in my home before I don't think I was taking my studio seriously enough.  I didn't get everything looking great or organized like a I was a for real business woman.  That's what made the biggest difference when I moved my studio out of our house and into a studio space.

I'm taking myself and my studio and my business much more seriously now...we'll see how THAT looks in my home now.

Thirst Relief.

exciting developments.

After arriving home from the Pictage Partnercon I'm so excited about the exciting developments for the next Thirst Relief Mentor Benefit Auction.  Jim was approached by a great group of people who are interested in using their knowledge, expertise, strengths, and talent to help us pull off a great auction experience.

I'm so thrilled about the possibilities.  We have tried some different approaches and have checked into a number of ways to do the auction.  We've found that we have so many people logging on at once and trying to bid on the same people that it's easy to overload almost any server that is willing to help out Thirst Relief for little to no fees.  This opportunity is a wonderful ray of hope for a great cause.

Already together we have saved thousands of lives.  The Thirst Relief Benefit Auctions have raised over $35,000!!  Children, familes, and villages have been saved by all of those who have given their time, money, and resources to help people around the world to have clean drinking water.  It's such a simple thing that makes a huge difference.

If you'd like to be part of this cause or to help out on the technical and logistical end of things please email me at davina@davinafear.com
