Sajini. Joshua. Wedding.
love the day. love the dress. love the couple.
I have to say that Sajini and Joshua's wedding was so exciting and full and fun. Sajini had planned the day to the hilt so that everyone from every age would have a great time. In the morning little girls dressed with big girls and even got to put on makeup! Sajini's mom looked so beautiful. All of the wedding party was dressed in the most colorful and perfectly jeweled colors. The smell of all of the bouquets was heavenly. I loved to walk by them and get a little whiff of those aromatic peonies!
Sajini looked amazing with her long, lace veil and her hair down around her shoulders. She met her family at the church for a touching traditional prayer. I love the picture of her Grandpa blessing her. The Pastor said so many things about love. One of my favorite quotes of the day was to Sajini and Joshua. Looking at Sajini: "You are marrying a flawed person." To Joshua: "You are marrying a flawed person." To both of them: "But you have a perfect God to help you through it all."
After the ceremony we speed walked to the Union League where every detail was covered. Name cards with jewels and peonies everywhere, a cupcake cake, and perfect little favor boxes...Sajini thought of everything...I can't even get it all here on the blog!
Not only did we eat delicious food, Sajini had rented a trolley for her wedding party to go around Philadelphia in. We stopped at a broken glass art gallery that would take your breath away. The way the light hit all of that glass and reflected everywhere was just crazy!
That night there was a very relaxed, fun, dancing, food, and kids party. Not one minute of the whole day would you have wanted to miss. It was all wonderful!
perfect. LIFE.
Sweet. Sweet. Family.

philadelphia. fun.
I was so excited to go to Philadelphia. I was going to get to see Sajini and Joshua again and I couldn't wait for how amazing their wedding day was going to be. Then I found out that I was going to get to hang out with one of Sajini's good friends the day before the wedding. As you can see from this shoot we had a great time!
I don't know if there's anyone in the world that can resist sweet Jaydon's big chocolate brown eyes. He was so good natured about us playing with him, taking walks, and going to lunch. He even got a little nap in...he's irresistible even when he's sleeping.
I'm so grateful for the time I got to spend with Rinu and Praveen. They are so giving and kind. When Rinu realized that I hadn't worn shoes for walking a few miles (because we all wanted to walk around Philly) she let me borrow her awesome tennis shoes. (my next move it monday purchase will be a pair of Asics!) Rinu and Praveen made me fall even more in love with Philadelphia (they convinced me that I have to bring my kids there this summer...it's beautiful and there is so much history and fun things to do!) and more in love with Sajini and Joshua.
Thank you so much Rinu and Praveen! It was wonderful spending time with you and getting to see what great parents you are, how much you love each other and Jaydon, and getting to see Philly. Thank you!

Move it Monday. Month 2.
win exercise stuff.
So...here we go. Month two of our consistent working out. Way to go all of you who have stuck with me through this month and welcome to anyone who has decided to jump on board. The most important thing here is to get yourself moving for 20 minutes a day, to eat less and leave something on your plate. Being consistent about these things is what will help you to be inspired and feel successful.
This past month I've really started to enjoy exercise and even look for ways to burn more calories and get moving. After being consistent and not losing the weight I wanted to lose I started keeping track of my calories and fat on www.mydailyplate.com . I love it. It totally adds up much faster than I think and keeps me honest about what I'm eating.
Now that the weather is nice and warm, I've been walking my 20 minutes in the morning and then going for a 3-5 mile bike ride. I come back and pick up the kids and we go riding for 2 miles. We're working up to going farther all of the time. Our church is doing a walking team and everyone is supposed to walk 7.5 miles a week. The kids really want o reach that goal so it's motivating all of us.
Since we've started our practice of being consistent I've lost almost 10 pounds! YAY!
Tell me how you're doing. And let's keep it up. This is wonderful and we're all going to be in such great shape and feel so much more healthy. I already feel more healthy and love that I'm doing some things to treat my body well.
The prize for this moth is a $50 gift certificate to FootLocker! You know you want something cute (or cool, if you're a guy) to be parading around the streets in!

Her. Brain. His. Brain.
if you're wondering.
If you don't understand how she can see the connection between two completely unrelated things. Or if you wonder how he can watch a football game for 4 hours and not get bored...you have to check out this clip.
Is he reading our mail, or what? Boxes of nothing. Balls of wire. It's a miracle we get together.
