We are live!  It's completely, totally, actually official.  I just can't believe it.  We've been working around that clock!  After the huge, amazing, and completely surprising response from all of you we have been so busy.

That's 11am EST, 10am, CST, 9am MST, and 8am PST on Friday, August 3rd.  We'll be taking the first 40 women who fill in the registration page (which will go live at exactly that time). It makes me nervous just writing about it.  May your fingers be speedy!

*First of all...thank you to Lauren for the majority of these pictures, who became the designated photographer as we were all running around the island, taking notes, and gabbing.

Where?  The workshop is on Bald Head Island in North Carolina!  and you won't want to leave....

You will want to fly into the Wilmington (ILM) airport (trust on this one...I've tried every way to see if I can get a cheaper ticket to Raleigh and then drive to Wilmington...totally not worth it because it's a few hours drive after you get off the plane!)  The drive from Wilmington Airport is about 20 minutes to Bald Head Island.  From there you'll get on a ferry and it will take you out to the island. 

What's it like?  The moment you step off the ferry the pace slows down and the stress starts to melt away...

When you start driving a golf cart around (no cars allowed on the island!) you are never going to want to leave.  It won't be swimsuit weather...we're thinking fun evenings around the fire (maybe some yummy s'mores)  or sitting on the porch wrapped in a blanket drinking hot chocolate and gabbing with the girls.  The sound of the waves hitting the beach, the bugs singing in the night, the rainforest feel of the pathways through the island, sand between your toes, wind in your hair on a crisp morning...all the things to look forward to.  I can't wait to go back!

What is the workshop going to be like?  This is going to be packed full of great photography inspiration and business knowledge and at the same time a wonderful vacation....

Instead of leaving the workshop feeling like you need a vacation you'll leave feeling invigorated, excited, rejuvenated and excited about all the personalized help that you've gotten.  It's going to be something completely different!

Who is it for?  This workshop is exclusively for women... 

So many have been talking about what women photographers need and we decided it was time to provide it.  Women feel pulled in so many different directions and at the same time want to be creative this is going to answer how to make that happen just for you.  So you won't want to miss this!

When is it?  The dates of the workshop are February 17-22...

This is the first workshop to be all inclusive and to be five days long.  You will be amazed at the price because all you'll have to pay for is your airline ticket and your transportation to the island.  We take care of everything else! No worries for you.  You'll fly in on the 17th and fly out on the 22nd.  You will definitely NOT want to miss the finale night on the 21st!!

Where will we be staying?  The homes we'll be staying in are million dollar homes...

All of the homes all look out onto the ocean and have their own private beaches. They are so comfortable with a place to relax for everyone.

For those of you who are guessing about who and where and what we're doing...here are a few more pictures.

One of the many cool things about this opportunity is that we'll be staying in million dollar homes, sipping hot chocolate in adirondack chairs wrapped in big blankets, going to a location that I'd like to vacation at every year, eating delicious food, hanging out with super cool women, and getting our lives rescued from one of our favorite things...photography.  This is going to be such a personalized event that you will be amazed.  We've already been working on the project for 2 months now and have spent so much time talking about how to do something for women in photography that has never been done.  You're going to love it.  How awesome is that?!  I'm so excited!!

Also, some really cool tidbits about each of these awesome photographers that I'm going to do this project with!  They are really awesome girls and great photographers.

*One of them has an amazing eye for fashion and the perfect way to make every person look gorgeous.  She knows that everyone has a perfectly beautiful angle and she can find yours and anyone else's.

*One of them has incredible business sense and innovative ideas on how to get more clients through the door and booking you.

*One of them has incredible photo shop skills that amaze me and teach me.  She knows color and how to make pretty much any image look really beautiful.

*One of the girls is pregnant and will have a sweet baby by the time this project happens.

*One of them is single with a thriving business and employees working for her.

*One of them is married with no kids but crazy busy and trying figuring out how to make time for her husband.

*And then there's me...with four kids and married to an incredible man and trying to juggle it all.

So...the cool thing is that we all have these awesome strengths, we all are a different places in our lives (which means there's an approach for everyone) and we're just all a lot of fun. lol.

I'm out of town and it's nowhere near where I live or my studio.  It's somewehere far away and I want to see if you can guess where I'm at.  I'm planning something big with three other photographers and I can't reveal what we're doing yet.

A few months ago I went to Tennessee for a photographer mini-conference get together.  My friends the Nudd's and the Holritz's did a fabulous job of putting together mornings of instruction and inspiration and afternoons for shooting.  I love getting to know other photographers and making friends around the country. 

Amy DeYoung is a great friend and I look forward to every chance I get to hang out with her and my other roomies at conferences.  Crystal just had a sweet new little baby and is the happiest, sweetest person ever.  Scarlett is a wonderful genuinely beautiful person, what's not to love about Amanda? she is a giving, wonderful photographer whose other half is totally hilarious!, and is there a person in the world that doesn't think the Holritz's personally love them more than anyone else.  Amber takes such a real interest in every person she meets and has blessed so many people's lives. Mine included.

Rachel and Andrew are incredible photographers but even better people.  I've been touched by their graciousness to me personally and by their goodness that they give to the world of photographers as well.  Melody is just so stinkin' funny and fun.  Just being around her will make you bust a gut.  Joy and Garrett Nudd, you know I love you two.  You've been supportive and kind to me at times that I've really needed it.   Lori, you are so real and so funny.  It was so fun to hang out.  Ginger, you have such a fun, infectious personality, I'm glad I got to meet you.  Thank you!  Thank you all for being a blessing in my life!
