ground zero.

Standing at Ground Zero takes you back to the place and time that you heard about and then saw two planes crash into the twin towers.  There was nothing like that day. It makes me grateful for heros.  The everyday kind that are unassuming and that you would never suspect of heroic deeds.

I love having my kids see that place and sit and watch and the questions they ask.

I love that the towers aren't being rebuilt and that the land is a memorial to the people who died there.

I'm thankful for the people next to me.

I love that I get to see my kids get off the bus and my husband walk in the door from work.

I'm grateful for the little things.

coney island.

I love Coney Island. Even though we went there and froze 1/2 to death I still love the nostalgia of the boardwalk, the colors, the old ferris wheel, and the hot dogs.

I loved the clouds and sky that day.  They were amazing and completely felt like a childrens' storybook illustrator had come out and handpainted all those blues and clouds and light.

I love that when we got out of the car my kids were complaining big time about how stinkin' cold it was but when we got down to the beach and the water all of that was forgotten and we ended up having to cajole them back to the warmth of the car.

I love the way the wind whips my girls' hair all over the place.

I love watching my girls chase seagulls and listening to them laugh.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love getting to take a little nature walk with four little girls and my mom.  Listening to their laughter over the craziest things makes me laugh.  We searched together for things for our Thanksgiving table.

I love getting to sit and talk with Miriam and creating a beautiful table with her.

I'm thankful to get to work in the kitchen with my sisters, my mom, and my girls.

I'm thankful to climb into bed after being on my feet all day.  It's such a welcome relief.

I'm thankful for chocolate cupcakes with classic white frosting.

I'm thankful for my wonderful little family and my patient, kind, hottie husband.

full. LIFE.

fun in NYC.

I love watching the flood of people that move from one train across the turnstiles to the next train.  The beauty of seeing all colors and ethnicities of people is just breathtaking.  I was moved as I imagined the lives and struggles some of them have been through, their day to day experiences, and in awe of the individual lives each of these hundreds and thousands of people live.  It's just incredible that we all live and breathe and love and experience so much right next to each without even realizing so much about the person sitting across the aisle or smashed into a subway with us.

I love seeing so much kindness from people in New York.

I love that Lady Liberty is a beacon of hope, freedom, and enlightenment for the world.

I love the adreneline of a subway train speeding down the tracks completely packed with people and the rush of trying to find some niche to squeeze your family into before the doors close.

I'm thankful for the chance to see again what so many people sacrificed to come to America.

I'm thankful for family laughter around the dinner table and a warm and dry home to celebrate in.

I am so blessed...sing it Martina!

full of. LOVE.

cider apple donuts. need I say more?

As much as I love NYC I'm grateful that we didn't go into the city yesterday.

I'm very thankful for apple cider donuts.

I'm love sitting around a table together eating and chatting.

I love the sound of my kids' laughter throughout my parents' home.

I love getting to hang out and do nothing.

I love the creak of the stairs and the old bits about being at my mom and dad's house.

I love watching my kids play together and enjoy one another.

happy. LIFE.
